The clinic at Bayshore is offering a complete suite of dental services on the North Shore.

When a space opened in Bayshore a little over a year ago, Dr. Thomas Manos immediately knew that it would be perfect for Dental Associates. Manos, a practicing periodontist and the owner/CEO, oversaw 14 clinics throughout the state, but the dental organization didn’t have a presence on the North Shore.

“For so long, we’ve wanted to open a location on the North Shore, and as soon as I saw this space in Bayshore, I knew that was it,” Manos said. “The convenience and the visibility from the highway is amazing. And the design we’ve made here is fantastic.”

When Manos secured the space, he started working with architect Mark Demsky to design what Manos calls a “truly unique dental experience for our patients.”

Now, that vision is a reality – Dental Associates’ new location opened to the public Monday with a ceremonial “floss-cutting.”

The space is undeniably impressive. An elegant, high-ceilinged lobby opens to exam areas with bright, natural light from the wide windows that line the walls. The office holds seven different dental services, what Manos refers to as an “office within an office” concept, but is sleekly designed so it doesn’t feel remotely cramped. (Plus, the pediatric dentistry lobby even has a cute kids’ nook with a Ms. Pac-Man machine to keep the little ones entertained.)

“We’re thrilled to welcome Dental Associates to Bayshore to enhance our guests’ experience,” said Brenda Vento, the marketing manager at Bayshore. “They really add another level of service. It’s just a spectacularly beautiful facility.”

Manos delivered remarks before cutting the ceremonial floss. “Our family started Dental Associates 49 years ago,” he said. “We are continuing to grow our legacy and our family. We want the best for the community, and to be part of the community … so that we are the dental service organization that takes care of you, and your kids and your grandkids.”

The reception was attended by city officials, including Glendale Mayor Bryan Kennedy. “I’ve never seen a dental practice like this,” Kennedy said. “I’m absolutely in awe. It’s exciting, and I think it’s going to drive quite a bit of traffic to Glendale.”

Dental Associates is the largest family-owned practice in Wisconsin, with over 90 dentists and specialists. Its 14 other clinics are located around the state, including ones in downtown Milwaukee, west Milwaukee, Franklin, Waukesha and Wauwatosa. “When Dental Associates opens an office, we invest in the community,” Manos said. “When we come into a neighborhood, we want to be part of what’s going on, so you’ll see us intimately involved in the area, with little league, community groups [and] efforts like that.”

One of the ways Dental Associates continues to distinguish itself is through its comprehensive care. “With our in-house specialists, we can consult with our general doctors and specialists not only in our Bayshore location but throughout our Milwaukee metro clinics,” said Samantha Pittsley, the director of practice management.

The Bayshore location will house dentists working general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics and root canal therapy, oral surgery, periodontic and dental implants all under one roof.

“This space incorporates all the specialties of dentistry. Really, this is like opening 10 offices at once,” Manos said. “Everyone works together to give the patient the best treatment possible. You walk 50 feet and see the specialist. The quality of care is unsurpassed.”
